If you live outside Japan, start with PokéPark KANTO's official English ticket store, choose a pass your whole group can use, and secure admission before building an inflexible travel day around it. Booking advice written around the park's opening may describe a different sales process from the one you see now.
PokéPark KANTO is inside Yomiuriland, outside central Tokyo. Treat it as a planned outing with its own transport and entry arrangements. A Pokémon Center shopping stop in Shibuya or Ikebukuro is a different experience; our Tokyo Pokémon Center comparison will help if that is what you want.
Checked October 6, 2026. This is an independent booking guide based on official park information and the overseas ticket store, not a firsthand park review. Calendar availability, prices and procedures can change. The official ticket links below are not affiliate links; some linked JAPANODE planning guides contain disclosed affiliate offers.
Start Here: Your Booking Checklist
| Before you commit | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Confirm the correct booking site for your residence | Overseas and domestic instructions are not interchangeable |
| Check the month being sold | A future application calendar is not a live inventory guarantee for next week |
| Check everyone's age and ability to use the Forest | The most expensive pass does not override access restrictions |
| Choose the exact pass, date and entry slot | Build transport around the ticket you actually receive |
| Check the application size before choosing Ace | The overseas store limits Ace applications to two tickets |
| Read the passport fields before submitting | Use the document you will bring on the trip |
| Save the payment and cancellation deadlines | Applying, being selected and holding a paid ticket are different stages |
Start at the park's official ticket-information page, then follow its link for residents outside Japan. This is a useful way to find the current authorized route even if a booking provider or interface changes.
If the outing is the reason for your trip, agree on a fallback date before applying. If it is one optional day in a wider holiday, decide which sightseeing day you can swap. That small decision makes the eventual ticket result much easier to use.
How Overseas Ticket Applications Work
The English Official Web Ticket Store identifies its operator as JTRWeb, an authorized reseller. At our check, it displayed a January 2027 application calendar. Its published schedule accepted applications on the 1st–12th for visits three months later, with results around month-end and payment due by the last day of the application month for successful applicants.
The opening time changed to 19:00 Japan time from October 2026. For example, the store explicitly identified October 1 at 19:00 as the start for January 2027 applications. The park also published a notice about the October time change. Use the live overseas store to confirm your month and convert the deadline to your own time zone.
A Practical Sequence
- Read the calendar heading. Confirm that you are looking at the intended admission month and that the screen says application or purchase as expected.
- Choose a date and suitable pass. Check the permitted area and any timed entry before continuing.
- Prepare accurate visitor details. Read the passport instructions and check every required field against the travel documents.
- Review the group together. Verify date, pass, age categories, time and total before submitting anything.
- Save the order reference and instructions. Use an email address you can access throughout the trip.
- Complete any later payment step on time. Save the issued ticket code separately from the application acknowledgement.
An application receipt is useful evidence of what you requested, but it is not a reason to promise the children a particular visit date. Keep a simple record with four fields: requested day, current order status, next deadline and confirmed ticket details.
If You Are Booking Closer to Your Trip
Read the current store notices for the period you need. Do not assume that an old blog's daily release time, a domestic first-come sale or the month currently shown on the overseas calendar applies to your booking. Check the official order-verification page when you already have an application.
The store describes possible redraws when places become available, but does not promise one for every unsuccessful applicant. A pending status should remain a pending plan. Keep your alternative day usable until admission is confirmed, and avoid buying an unrelated Yomiuriland ticket in the hope that it will provide PokéPark entry.
Which Pass Should You Choose?
The park publishes three pass types. This is a decision summary; use the official comparison for the complete inclusions and restrictions.
| Pass | Main access | Overseas tickets per application | Start with this when… |
|---|---|---|---|
| Town Pass | Timed Sedge Town admission; no Pokémon Forest | Up to 6 | Your group wants the town or includes someone who cannot enter the Forest |
| Trainer's Pass | One Forest entry in the assigned slot, plus Sedge Town | Up to 6 | You want the Forest and can work around a timed visit |
| Ace Trainer's Pass | Forest re-entry, reserved show seating and specified ride/photo benefits | Up to 2 | You want the included extras listed below as well as the Forest |
The application limits above were displayed in the overseas ticket store on October 6, 2026. Each application can contain only one pass type. A family needing three or more Ace tickets cannot put them all in one application. Separate applications do not guarantee matching dates or successful results for everyone.
All three include Yomiuriland admission. Separate activity charges and reservations still matter.
What Does Ace Add?
The official comparison lists these Ace benefits:
- Forest re-entry, instead of Trainer's single timed entry.
- One included priority-lane ride each on Pika Pika Paradise and Vee Vee Voyage. Further rides require separately purchased tickets.
- One reserved Sedge Gym Show viewing. Further viewings require an app limited-access ticket.
- Sedge Condominiums access for a meet-and-greet and photos with Pikachu and Eevee.
Ace also includes original merchandise. Its perks do not remove Forest eligibility rules or the app arrangements for the shop and Pokémon Playhouse. Check the complete pass conditions for your visit.
Our planning recommendation: start with Trainer if one Forest visit is your priority. Compare Ace if the reserved show, rides and photo experience are things you actually want. Start with Town if the Forest is unsuitable for your group. Apply the ticket-count limit before treating any option as a whole-family booking.
Ticket Prices: Use a Dated Example
On October 6, the overseas store showed these adult prices for its January 2027 calendar:
| Pass | Displayed adult price range |
|---|---|
| Town Pass | ¥4,700–5,500 |
| Trainer's Pass | ¥7,900–9,400 |
| Ace Trainer's Pass | ¥14,000–16,500 |
These are planning examples, not a quote for every visit date. Select the day and each visitor's applicable category to obtain the real total. Source: the official overseas booking calendar.
For a family comparison, calculate the difference for the entire group. Then add transport, any additional activities, food and a merchandise allowance. Avoid comparing one adult's premium supplement with the entire family's budget for a different day out.
Children, the Forest and Choosing a Realistic Day
Pokémon Forest does not admit children under five, including carried children. Its terrain includes steep sections and a 110-step staircase, with further restrictions listed by the operator. Check the full Forest admission criteria for every visitor. Sedge Town has a different access arrangement; a Forest restriction is not a blanket ban on a toddler visiting the whole facility.
For mixed-age siblings, read the operator's restrictions for under-fives and their guardians before buying passes. Confirm any plan to split the group with the park rather than assuming every adult can take turns entering the Forest. Do not plan around staff supervising a younger child.
The operator also describes stairlift-assisted access to a limited, gentler section of the Forest. Contact staff about your particular access needs; this does not make the full Forest route step-free. The area-services page explains this arrangement.
Keep the first outing after a long flight relatively flexible. If this park is a priority, choosing a later day gives you more room for sleep, breakfast and the journey out of central Tokyo. That is a planning recommendation, not an operator requirement.
A stroller can help on the rest of your day without making every park area suitable for it. Check the operator's area-services information and bring only the equipment you can manage on the route you choose.
Passport Checks, Changes and Cancellations
For visits from November 2026, the park's official FAQ specifies original passports for overseas-store ticket holders. Copies are not accepted. It also notes that ID checks may occur for earlier visits.
The ticket store's Passport ID Verification instructions say the passport presented must match the Passport ID registered during application, and that this registered ID cannot be changed after submission. Check the details before submitting. If a passport renewal could affect your trip, ask the ticket seller how to handle it before applying.
Use the cancellation conditions shown by the channel where you actually book. The park's Japanese domestic cancellation instructions should not be treated as the overseas store's policy. Save the relevant terms, deadline and order reference together, especially if you are also committing to a non-refundable hotel rate.
When comparing a change with keeping the original booking, first establish whether replacement admission is actually available. A theoretical refund is not a guarantee of another ticket. Direct order questions to the seller identified on your confirmation.
Getting to PokéPark KANTO from Tokyo
The official access page directs visitors to Yomiuriland and identifies the Sky Shuttle gondola from Keiō-yomiuri-land Station. After passing through the amusement park entrance, follow signs to PokéPark KANTO. Reaching the station is only part of the journey.
Check the Yomiuriland transport guide for the final approach and current alternatives. Its Keio-line section also lists a bus to the Yomiuriland entrance. Do not confuse Keiō-yomiuri-land Station with the differently named station on the Odakyu route.
Build your departure time backwards from the entry instructions: the park approach, any queue or document checks, the journey from the station and the train from your hotel. Leave a buffer for a bathroom stop or missed connection. A route planner's fastest train result does not include every one of those steps.
If your hotel is still undecided, compare the complete journey from the property. A familiar district name alone is not enough. Our Tokyo family hotel guide compares practical room options; our MIMARU Pokémon Room guide is for families who also want a themed stay. Neither type of hotel booking should be assumed to include park admission.
For arrival-day logistics before this outing, use the Haneda family-transfer guide. Your airport transfer and the later journey to Yomiuriland are separate decisions.
Prepare Your Phone and Leave Large Bags Elsewhere
Get App Tickets After Entering Yomiuriland
The official app instructions list limited-access tickets for Pokémon Daisuki Shop, Pokémon Playhouse and Sedge Gym Show. Here is the sequence:
- Prepare the official app and issued tickets. Trainer and Town pass holders can group and share tickets in the app; Ace tickets cannot use this sharing feature.
- Enter Yomiuriland and wait until 10:45 or later. Both conditions must be met. The park FAQ says someone who enters first cannot obtain limited-access tickets for companions who have not yet entered. Allow for a short delay after the gate scan.
- Request the relevant slot and check the result in the app. An admission pass alone does not reserve these experiences. Ace's included show viewing is a separate benefit; additional viewings need a limited-access ticket.
Pika Pika Paradise and Vee Vee Voyage use a separate ticket kiosk, not this app allocation. Follow your pass's ride entitlement and purchase instructions.
The operator warns that uninstalling the app or clearing its cache after scanning a ticket can lose that ticket and prevent rescanning. Keep the app installed and avoid clearing its data during your visit.
Charge your phone, keep the booking email accessible and bring a power bank if you normally need one. Save important instructions for offline reading while following the operator's required ticket-display method. If you need mobile data, compare the installation and coverage requirements in our Japan eSIM guide before leaving home.
The area rules prohibit suitcases and rolling luggage and specify cashless payment inside the area. Arrange your large-bag plan before going through admission. The official FAQ points visitors to Yomiuriland's coin lockers rather than storage inside PokéPark.
If you are changing hotels that day, ask whether either property can hold your luggage. Compare another option in our Japan luggage-storage guide if returning to the hotel would create a long detour. Do not assume a locker will fit every suitcase or remain available when you arrive.
Finally, check the weather and the day's official operating notice. The park is outdoors; rain gear and suitable shoes are practical preparation. Plan a different activity if operations are suspended, rather than assuming an indoor version of the same experience is available.
If Tickets Do Not Work Out
Choose an alternative that matches what you wanted from the day. Shopping for merchandise, seeing themed surroundings and booking a café meal are three different goals. Our Tokyo Pokémon Center guide helps with the shopping part; the café has its own reservation process.
If the hotel itself is part of the treat, use the MIMARU room comparison to choose an actual themed category. Keep that separate from any promise of park tickets. You can also retain your existing sightseeing plan and add one shop in a district you already intend to visit.
Once you have a paid ticket, check the final visit date, pass name, arrival instructions and required documents together. Those four details should drive the rest of the day.

Use the English Official Web Ticket Store linked from the park's ticket-information page. It is operated by JTRWeb for overseas visitors. Follow that store's application, payment and cancellation instructions; the Japanese domestic booking route has separate requirements.
At our October 6, 2026 check, the overseas store advertised applications from the 1st to the 12th for visits three months later. The opening time changed to 19:00 Japan time from October 2026. Recheck the live store for the month you need because sale methods and schedules can change.
Plan around Sedge Town and check the Town Pass conditions. Children under five cannot enter Pokémon Forest, including when carried. A more expensive pass does not remove the Forest's admission restrictions. Review the official rules for every member of your group before booking.
PokéPark KANTO entrance passes include admission to Yomiuriland. That does not make every Yomiuriland attraction or the journey to the park free. Check each additional activity and transport charge separately.
The park's FAQ specifies original passports for overseas-store ticket holders entering from November 2026; copies are not accepted. Check the ticket store's Passport ID Verification instructions, including matching the passport registered during application. The park also says ID checks may occur for earlier visits.
Check your order status and the official store's current sale notices. Do not treat an application or a pending redraw as confirmed admission. For an alternative Pokémon day in Tokyo, choose a Pokémon Center that fits your itinerary; café reservations and themed hotel rooms are separate bookings.
