Before you choose

Leave some time
for being there.

Start at your actual station. Osaka and Shin-Osaka are different departures. So are Kyoto Station and the Gion area. A faster train is only part of the journey.

Pick the return before you leave. For rural buses and reserved trains, check the journey home as carefully as the outward trip.

Choose the day you want. A tour can simplify transport, but it fixes the stops and their length. One destination can be enough.
